Tomorrow will be an exciting day i think... i am having night call... not too bad considering i dun get paid for it i have to stay till around 11-12 and i have to pay my own taxi fees to get back and i have to get back to the hosp by 8am the next day.. wow i must say it is really something worth doing!

so many 21st birthday celebrations this year actually, seems to have gone for more than a dozen and with yet another dozen coming up haha... so many people and friends i know are turning into adult! cool.. now we are ALL old people =D

4th week into my 8 week posting at NUH and i have decided to put my games aside and get down to some serious studying before my end of posting tests in about a month's time.. have to work hard for it and i def do not want to have any reposting.. that would really suck.
guess wun be blogging for tomorrow... probably will come back more on wednesday to update on wat happened tomorrow... hmmmmm....

2 patients passed away in just 48 hours and i witnessed both.. well at least saw/heard them passing away. Actually more like heard their relatives.

anyway, getting more used to the totally hectic life in NUH, i hope they have more air con in the hospital. well subsidised wards cant really ask for much.

i am already having WC withdrawal syndromes, 2 more matches and then 4 years more.. thats pathetic... they ought to have it once every 4 months or something haha that would make it so much more exciting.. still i think EPL is still the most enjoyable soccer tournament to watch even when compared to the WC.

so many people turning 21 this year.. oh well actually that doesnt really sound right.. it should have been. ALL MY FRIENDS turn 21 this year.. so i like having 21st birthday celebration/dinner/party/gathering what not.. almost fornightly.. haha.. pretty interesting to see how different ppl celebrate differently.. yesterday was a sure nice small gathering with the guys for j's big day.

well weekend is here again.. damn i have to read over the weekends... Medicine never ends.

I am happy coz i did my first drawing of blood for a patient last friday and it was pretty well done i must say for a first timer.. though it is really scary and i am quite sure i have caused much more pain than what a HO would have done.

anyway at least i got the blood i needed and go ask bang what did he do to his patient? actually you wont want to know...

Yes.. England out.. just another issue which shows how dumb the FIFA can be.. an Argentinian referee for an English match? you gotta be kidding! Yes rooney was bad-tempered plz... didnt anyone see how Mr. Christiano Ronaldo "winked" at poor roon when he was sent off? gosh like i said.. his days in Man U are numbered.. and i am pretty happy that they are rid of that selfish useless crap anyway, yes thats both as a neutral soccer and man u's fan point of view.. he is well.. realli useless. Abosolutely no idea HOW CAN HE BE XR's fav player? thats just BEYOND me.

Very tired and busy these few days in fact... running in the ward is really never a good thing to do but maybe good exercise lost my 2 kg of fats gained after returning from china already haha. And today's youth day... another holiday missed.. when is my next HOLIDAY?!?!!?!?!

2 more patients clerked today. Time for me to read up on the stuff already i guess.
slacked more than enough for the day already.. came back a little early than usual and reached home at around 6 pm.. and slacked till now.

Trying to be better friends with Kumar (medical textbook) but the sure size of Kumar turns me off.. he looks well... so OVERWEIGHT haha...

going to do a sweep in the ward with tenghwee tmr.. thats we gonna approach many many patients and pin point those who are good for a case i guess... sigh... really busy busy and busy and lost at the same time... i guess reading would def help...

many 21st of people close to me is coming... lots of brain juice gonna be spent on how to come out with something special... man.... this is just so stressful haha...

Oops.. first day ended up being another day added into the holiday and today We or rather I started the 2nd day of my posting in ward 64 NUH for the next 2 weeks.. already gotten know 2 patients already.. and gonna follow up on one patient who is actually down with dengue and had some sort of abdomen complication.. me and tenghwee were both scratching our heads haha.

NUH is well much smaller than TTSH in my opinion and even the wards seem smaller and much more empty, so it would be hard to find nice cases around in NUH i guess.. but hope can make some friends with the patients. Started my reading up and gave up pretty soon.. still not in any mugging mode i guess but i know i MUST try haha. AND TRY I SHALL.

tmr is an early day if i am not wrong so i am gonna sleep early like now. other than that, i am quite surprised to know singapore is one of the ONLY 5 nations that do not provide free coverage of the WC "live" or "delayed" otherwise in any form... read up some forums and most people are just pissed about starhub charging extra just for the WC coverage... well i guess... most people are just used to this kind of monopoly... we are just gullible singaporeans... haha.

not going to catch another football match until the semis man.. actually i prefer EPL more no idea why.. cant wait for it to start in another month. by then i would have finished my NUH postings already.. AMAZING.

Sometimes the way you gain knowledge never fails to surprise me haha...

so much for the bad light shown onto excessive gaming and everything..
i actually did learn stuff from the games i play! haha..

being a med student i am really ashamed to say i had totally no idea what the game meant when my char was contracted "porphyric hemophilia" as a disease? the only clue i had was it has something to do with blood - "hemo" i assume it is greek or latin for blood haha, med terms haha..

so if you want to know what it actually means go check it out..

though... i think the actual definition of the disease is much more scientific haha than mythical.

anyway.. tmr sch starts which is YUCKS! 16 weeks non-stop of lessons.. but i guess it also means i have more stuff to blog then...

well tell you more about my first day at NUH tmr!...

holy cow... more than a month without blogging... i am almost a non-blogger once again already.
and i need to change dq's blog link he moved his blog elsewhere..

anyway life is abt to be back to normal in about a week's time.. whereby normal really means hell haha.
i just returned from my shanghai trip actually.. nothing much happened really.. just that well *sh.....* DVDs are really cheap back home haha.. as in REALLY REALLY CHEAP haha.

and i finished watching LOST season 2 in just 2 days.. yeah 2 days 24 episodes.. it really rock to watch series like an ultra long movie haha. loved it. though i still think it is WAY TOO SLOW A SHOW.

yes back to my blogging days... and yesh.. i am watching hell lots of DVDs right now.. come on 1 week left and i have like wat 16 WEEKS NONSTOP WORK!
someone better save me.
